Section 1 – Dairy Cattle

(Refer to General Rules and Health Rules)

  1. Out of county animal entries will be accepted and held until all in-county animals are accommodated. If there will not be enough stall space, out of county entrants will be notified as soon as possible.
  2. Exhibitors will be expected to display or parade their animals as directed by the Superintendent; to accept the stall assigned without controversy; to keep their animals in an attractive appearance; and to cooperate with the department in every way that may serve to increase the educational value of the show.
  3. Exhibitors must inform themselves as to when their stock will be judged. Stock must be in the ring promptly on call and a failure to comply with the order renders exhibitors liable to be ruled out of competing. Decorations with ribbons or ornaments previously won by animals at show shall be prohibited until after awards have been made in their respective classes by the judges.
  4. Exhibitors must have all animals listed for competition on the grounds not later than 4:00 pm on Wednesday. All such animals shall remain on the premises until Monday after 5 am.  The exhibitors will be expected to keep the space they occupy in a clean and sanitary condition and to remove all their equipment as promptly as the Superintendent may direct.
  5. Entry fee will be $2.00 per animal. Entries will close on August 15.
  6. Judging will be Thursday of the fair at 5 pm.
  7. Other breeds not listed will be acceptable under “Other” and will be judged together.
